A LOT HAS already been said about the crazy greens at the US Open, but they nearly led to a moment of magic on an otherwise bleak day for Rickie Fowler.
Fowler is currently second-last after stinking out Chambers Bay with an opening round off 11-over-par 81 on Thursday.
Standing on the 12th tee โ a par-four โ Fowler landed his ball on the middle of the green and watched as it scooted yards by the hole.
Had it stopped, it would have left him with a putt of 40 feet or so but it caught the slope and trickled back towards the hole.
Getting closer.
A little closer.
So close.
Fowler ended up tapping in for an eagle two which isnโt too shabby, but on a day when nothing else seemed to go his way, this would have been a nice break.
Zebo and Earls connected so well all game.
Zebo and Murray connect better.
Hahahaha you beat me to it!!
No. But it would have been deservedly replayed a few times.
It would have been. cracking tryโฆ.
Regardless of the opposition, it was a sublime piece of individual skill to grace any game against any opponents. He was b@stard unlucky with his footing and tried his best advice time.
*tried his best at the time
His pass for Earls try was fantastic as well. He has great creativity, game intelligence and playmaking qualities which arenโt often credited to him or if they are theyโre under the bracket of โX-Factorโ, sometimes heโs wasted on the wing though Schmidt seems more and more to be trying to get him in as first receiver.
Shush Rochelle! You just might get Leinster fans buying into the idea of picking the best backs for their best positions!
Yeah, Leinster fans hate good back play.
Youโve been waiting a while like
He is great going forward, donโt think u can say the same when he is going the other way.
Ah, that ole chestnut rears its ugly head yet again.
Disaster had Zebo for 1st try scorer
No. Opposition not strong enough.
ah for foots sake !
Ah stop would ya!
