LIVERPOOL HAVE NO plans to dismiss Brendan Rodgers as manager, according to the latest widespread reports.
Fenway Sports Group, the owners of the club, are expected to ignore supporter unrest and remain loyal to the Northern Irish manager, as they prepare to review a largely disappointing campaign in which the club finished sixth โ a significant drop from coming second last season, despite spending ยฃ115million in transfer fees during the summer.
As recently as last week, Rodgers insisted he was โ150%โ certain that he would be Liverpool manager next season.
However, an embarrassing 6-1 final-day loss to Stoke cast further doubt on his future, as did Rodgersโ comments after the match in question, as he stated: โIf the owners want me to go, Iโll go.โ
Meanwhile, one individual who has been linked with a return to Liverpool in recent times, Napoli boss Rafa Benitez, looks set to take over as manager of Real Madrid.
Thereโs probably more about Roy Keane in the book then there is about himself!
Book and Jason McAteer really shouldnโt be in the same sentence.
