A Nottingham Forest player is rocking the Abel Xavier look to raise money for cystic fibrosis

Danny Fox is sporting a spectacularly dyed beard.

AS EVERYBODY BECOMES a hipster, beards are getting more and more coverage in the media. When Roy Keane and Gordon Dโ€™Arcy shaved their magnificent facial hair, a large portion of sports fans went into mourning.

This story should cheer all the beard enthusiasts up though. Nottingham Forest defender Danny Fox is trying to raise money for a cystic fibrosis charity so he has dyed his beard.

Fair play to him for being willing to play a televised game with this.

โ€œMy friend, Paul Williams, passed away from cystic fibrosis and this is the colour that represents their charity,โ€ Fox said to the Nottingham Forest website.

โ€œI became an ambassador about 18 months ago and they wanted me to raise awareness by dying my beard. Iโ€™ve set up a JustGiving page and Iโ€™m going to do a skydive and other events to hopefully raise about ยฃ25,000.โ€

We have an idea of who might have given Fox a bit of inspiration too.
