16-year-old Japanese snowboarder suffers frightening fall in men's halfpipe final

Yuto Totsuka was taken to hospital but did not suffer any head or neck trauma, a team spokesperson later confirmed.

SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD Japanese snowboarder Yuto Totsuka suffered a frightening fall in the menโ€™s halfpipe final at the Winter Olympics on Wednesday in Pyeongchang.

On his second run of the final, Totsuka dropped in and went for his first jump, twisting several times in the air. Totsuka missed his landing, however, crashing into the lip of the halfpipe, which NBC described as โ€œfrozen concrete.โ€

Totsuka smacked into the ground, falling face-first into the middle of the halfpipe.

Hereโ€™s a sense of how high Totsuka had gotten:

Paramedics immediately came out, and Totsuka was taken off in a stretcher. A spokesperson for the Japanese team later told the New York Times that Totsuka was taken to hospital with an injured hip, but had not suffered any head or neck trauma.

Chelsea? Really? Really? Really? They are a shambles!!
And City Have the talent but not the squad debth or manager?
City have great players but they are are terrrible team. Maybe if they got jose in this summer, but if they stick with mancini they wonโ€™t go far!

That is such a good goal. One of the best Iโ€™ve ever seen, connects with the ball so sweetly. Last season he was my favourite player this year I despise him and the little boy inside too. But oh god how I miss him. Jealousy is a cruel cruel mistress. Well done to United. Won it in style in fairness. Thereโ€™s always next season
