VIDEO: 'Boro starlet scores a cracker down by the Riverside

The left-back from Bryan Robson’s old hometown unleashed a humdinger against Burnley last night.

SOME SAY THAT it is grim up North but Middlesborough’s Adam Reach brightened up affairs at the Riverside last night.

The 19-year-old left-back was playing in a more advanced role in his side’s Championship outing against Burnley when he decided to let fly.

Reach’s swerving strike caught goalkeeper Luke Steele wrong-footed and he failed to get a touch on the ball despite a back-pedalling dive.

Middlesborough won 3-2 and there was more for the home support to cheer as Luke Williams scored a fine, long-range goal in the 88th minute.

The Teeside club also handed a debut to loan-signing Josh McEachran, who arrived up from Chelsea at the weekend.

Can’t see him making the 23 against Italy, but the experience of being in camp will surely stand to him

@Lesidees: if we’re serious about him as a prospect for RWC then I think he has to make the 23 in some game before then.. there’s three left so take your pick!!
