Munster 14
Leinster 33
Two-try centre Leah Tarpey starred as three unanswered second half tries gave Leinster a runaway 33-14 final win over Munster and their first Vodafone Womenโs Interprovincial Championship crown since 2019.
Tarpey touched down either side of half-time in the Musgrave Park decider, before experienced duo Hannah OโConnor, the captain, and Elise OโByrne-White, on her 27th appearance in blue, made it a five-try triumph in the end.
Deirbhile Nic a Bhรกird was at her inspirational best for three-in-a-row hopefuls Munster, darting over for an opening 15th-minute try before helping to set up Chloe Pearseโs effort that had the hosts back in front.
However, Leinster squared things up at 14-all for half-time with a timely Tarpey score which supplemented the penalty try which had seen Munster prop Rรณisรญn Ormond yellow carded.
Having beaten their arch rivals 26-19 in Donnybrook last week to reach the final, Tania Rosserโs charges struck again through Tarpey, the Vodafone player-of-the-match, and fellow Ireland international Dannah OโBrien began to exert more control from out-half.
Leinster hammered home their dominance in the scrum for OโConnor to score from the base in the 63rd minute, and replacement OโByrne-White finished off a Natasja Behan break to confirm title number seven for her province.
It was only Munsterโs second defeat in 11 Interprovincial matches, but despite the home support, they fell short against a Leinster side that, having being stung by Connacht in the first round, saved their best for last.
Head coach Rosser had given nine debuts in this seasonโs tournament, and only OโByrne-White, Sene Taiti-Fanene, Ailsa Hughes, Linda Djougang, OโConnor and Christy Haney remain from Leinsterโs matchday squad that clinched the 2019 Championship in the most recent Interpro final to take place.
The play-offs were brought back this year to extend the series to four rounds, giving the players more high-level game-time leading into the start of the Energia All-Ireland League and Irelandโs first WXV3 campaign under new head coach Scott Bemand.

Ulster 36
Connacht 14
THERE WERE JOYOUS scenes at Musgrave Park as Ulster won their first Vodafone Womenโs Interprovincial Championship match since 2012, beating Connacht 36-14 to finish third overall for this season.
Leading this play-off tie from start to finish, Ulster built a 14-0 interval lead as Rachel McIlroy crossed early on and India Daley added a second try, showing exactly why she has been called up to train with the national squad.
Despite Taryn Schutzler picking up a yellow card, Ella Durkanโs intercept try just after the restart kept Ulster on course. Lily Brady opened Connachtโs account but Cregan responded with a 54th-minute bonus point effort.
Niamh Marleyโs terrific individual try preceded a consolation score from Connacht replacement Orla Dixon, but first-year head coach Houston watched on with great pride when Aishling OโConnell crashed over in the final minute.

Iโd like to see Brian Kerr given another chance.A very positive forward thinking manager who still has the best win record for Ireland,is younger than OโNeill, and what he achieved with the Faroe Islands was phenomenal.Spend five minutes on Twitter and the Ipswich fans canโt wait to get rid of Mick. The word dinosaur seems to crop up a lot.For me Kerr who be a no brainer.
@Padraig: I think Kerr could have more of an impact given a remit at under age level, alongside Ruud Dokter. Or maybe even in charge of the under 21 team. Itโs a real pity heโs gone completely unused.
I would miss Roy. I think he and Brian Kerr would be a good team.
@GARFARKLE: Roy over the senior and Kerr over the under 21s with a consulting role in the seniors, aiding with player transition to the senior side (even with an eye on the under 19s which looks like a hotbed at the moment). That would be great.
@EnKy: Good one. Thank you for expanding my point.
Bring back Mick
I wonder if Johnny Walters is only saying that because heโs gone from Stoke now, and he knows how detrimental MON is to the Irish team with his insistence, like Trappatoniโs, that the Irish players arenโt any good, and thus shouldnโt be allowed play football.
And finally:
Former Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni calls time on managerial career โ after his wife said sheโd โchange the locksโ if he left again

I think the fai will go for McCarthy.
Yea,letโs clamber for OโNeill,heโs won so much for Ireland!
Need an extension on the trophy room.
Actually canโt believe w
@Gary OโHanlon: canโt believe people want Roy Keane as a manager. He is clueless. Passion, desire, commitment thatโs all he ever says.
