UEFA HAVE AGREED to overturn a yellow card that had been mistakenly awarded to Keith Andrews during Ireland’s recent Euro 2012 qualifier against Armenia.
The Ipswich man was booked in error, following an offence that was committed by Aiden McGeady.
A statement this evening confirmed that their records had been updated and the card has been assigned to McGeady, which he will now carry into Ireland’s forthcoming Euro 2012 playoff games against Estonia.
Meanwhile, the Irish squad is set to be announced at approximately 9am tomorrow, with Anthony Stokes one of the players rumoured to be on the verge of receiving a call-up.
Ireland seem set to face a mini-striking crisis, with Kevin Doyle suspended for the first leg, and Robbie Keane and Shane Long unlikely to feature due to injury.
38% of voters in a recent Score.ie poll suggested Simon Cox and Jonathan Walters should start up front for the away fixture, which takes place on 11 November.
Home team name first, why disrespect Leitrim, regardless of favorite’s tag.
Leitrim v Galway
Ok
Does anybody know if there’s any periscope streams for any of the games? Castlehaven did it for a recent Club Championship game. I think its a great idea. Louth vs Westmeath will probably be a good competitive game but very few will get to see it, the same with Offaly Longford last night. I think Periscope could solve this!!!
it’s God awful poison.
Enjoying it. What do you want?
a mob of thugs
Oh relax ffs. Not one punch thrown.
the ball is just an excuse in fairness.
No Shane, just nonstop mouthing. Horrible to watch that.
