TIPPERARY AND CORK stars collected the Sunday Game man-of-the-match awards this weekend following another instalment of thrilling Munster SHC action.
Eoin Cadogan produced a towering display at full-back for Cork, as he held Limerick star Aaron Gillane to just one point from play in a much-needed victory over the All-Ireland champions.
That result sees John Meyler’s men get their provincial campaign back on track after suffering defeat to Tipperary last weekend.
They will now prepare for a home game on 8 June against a Waterford side who have suffered two defeats on the bounce in the round-robin series.

Meanwhile, Jason Forde top-scored for Tipperary with an impressive 1-9 as Liam Sheedy’s men comfortably defeated Waterford in their Round 2 encounter at Semple Stadium.
Forde nailed a superb score from a sideline cut in the first half, while his 53rd minute goal put Tipperary firmly on the way to victory.
Both players received their RTÉ Sunday Game man-of-the-match awards as the Munster SHC continues to heat up.

I thougt Michael Breen was Man of the Match for me . 6 points for midfield. One of the most underated hurlers in the countrt
@Top Class: I agree Michael Breen was outstanding and Alan Cadogan for me was Corks best player
Breen and Alan cadogan for me
@David O’Brien: Alan Cadogan was immense I thought, gave our back line plenty of trouble all day. Super talent and if the injuries stay away then he’s one of the first names on my teamsheet for sure.
The Aoife Caffrey who presented the award to Jason Forde looks a lot like the Sinead Farrell who wrote the article…..
Coleman also had a great performance for Cork.
Is Munster the only hurling been played nowadays!?
@Mark Flynn: it’s definitely the most competitive.
@Margarita Huanca: I wouldn’t call getting beat by 18 points competitive, I would call a draw between Wexford and Dublin fairly competitive though
@Mark Flynn: Galway beat Clare in a replay by 1 point in the semis last year. That was the only time in the Championship a team playing in Leinster beat a Munster team. Hard not to feel that Munster teams are a bit ahead.
@ScewMadd: It wouldn’t shock me one bit if a team from Leinster won the all-Ireland this year! Bar Tipp maybe, I wouldn’t be too worried bout playing any of the rest! So far anyway!
@Mark Flynn: well said Mark I agree Leinster every bit competitive other than Carlow the other 4 teams all very good and could beat each other ant day.It was a joker that the wexford Dublin game wasn’t shown as was always going to be very tight and competitive
@Mark Flynn: have to agree Leinster just as strong since Galway came in some super games
