IRELAND DEFENDER STEPHEN Kelly is on the verge of joining Reading after undergoing a medical at the club this afternoon.
Having made 35 appearances for the Londoners and established a good understanding with Damien Duff on the right flank during Martin Jol’s first season in charge of the Londoners, the 29-year-old has fallen down the pecking order this season.
Apart from an appearance in the Capital One Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, Kelly has played just twice for the Cottagers this term and is desperate to get some first-team football.
Now the Dubliner looks set to join Reading, who currently sit 19th in the Premier League table.

“Stephen went for a medical to Reading,” Jol told FulhamFC.com at his press conference today. “I expect him to join them on a permanent deal now.
I thought it was good for him because he wanted to play and he played almost all the games last year so I thought it was good for him to talk to Reading. They decided to take him and he decided to go there.”
