VIDEO: Relive Jason Smyth’s gold medal win at the 2008 Paralympics

Ahead of his big event tonight, here’s a chance to look back on the Irish athlete’s moment of glory in Beijing.

IT’S ALREADY BEEN a Paralympics to remember for Irish athlete Jason Smyth.

The Derry native set a new world record in the 100m T13 Heats last night, ahead of the final at 7.15pm tonight.

And as we await this evening’s big event, check out a video below of one of the visually impaired Paralympian’s two gold medal wins in Beijing four years ago in the 200m T13 race.

    @Jacob: Not about blame unless he’s planning on getting out of the game early, the short-term gamble on LIV is ill-advised this early in his career. Having just won his PGA card, a couple of seasons on that, and then moving to LIV if it still exists would have been the intelligent move.
