THERE WAS A moment of controversy in the climax of today’s thrilling All-Ireland semi-final between Dublin and Kerry.
In the dying stages of today’s match, with Dublin leading by a point, Kevin McManamon put in a strong challenge on Peter Crowley that many watching felt should have been a free.
The referee waved play on, however, and it proved pivotal, as Diarmuid Connolly went up the other end to score the final point of the game, ensuring Dublin’s place in the All-Ireland SFC final in the process.
