He's back! Seanie Johnston made his return to the Cavan side last night

After his days with Kildare, Johnston has returned for his native county.

SEANIE JOHNSTON MADE his return to action for Cavan last night, lining out for the county for the first time since 2011, as they defeated Ulster University of Jordanstown by 3-14 to 0-9 in the Dr McKenna Cup.

Johnston was sprung from the bench in the 60th minute at Kingspan Breffni Park to mark his comeback for his county.

He was part of a high-profile transfer saga from January 2012 to Kildare and last played for the Lilywhites in 2013.

But Johnston is now back with Terry Hyland’s Cavan squad and was last night part of a setup that made it two wins from two in Section C of the pre-season Ulster competition.

Cavan followed up on last week’s win over Armagh with goals by Paul O’Connor (2) and Enda Henry helping them to triumph.

I thought Mipo was gonna go places big time in England, disappointed he didn’t make it but very best of luck to him at Shels, Duffer will demand his best application so hopefully he can take the long road to fulfilling his potential.
