RICHARD DUNNE HAS been named as one of the players who will be released by QPR following their relegation from the Premier League this season, the club have confirmed.
The former Irish international made 23 appearances amid a disappointing campaign for the club.
The 35-year-old centre-back is one of several players let go by the Londoners.
Irish goalkeeper Brian Murphy, Rio Ferdinand, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Joey Barton and Bobby Zamora have also parted ways with the club.

Nevertheless, there was good news for Clint Hill and Alejandro Faurlin, who were both offered new deals, while Karl Henry has until 30 June to exercise his contractual option for a further year.
The MLS might come knocking
Great defender in his prime , one the best irish players of all time in my opinion .unfortunately his lack of pace means the premier league is probably beyond him . Would be a good addition to mls club or mid championship team .
Bournemouth, watford or norwich would be mad not to make him an offer
He was a class defender but let’s be honest, he wouldn’t be able to play in the premier league anynore
Liverpool?
A Toure and Dunne partnership could be the slowest (and heaviest) ever
Please God make it happen Rodgers
Heavy? Football players are built like twigs.
Can you imagine a Lovren/Dunne partnership? That’s gonna give me nightmares tonight!
@John Collins Akinfenwa & Gary Doherty would strongly disagree..
I think I saw an article where he said he wanted to finish in the league of ireland is it too early??
Wouldn’t be shocked to see mick McCarthy make him an offer at Ipswich
