Paul Dunne moves up the leaderboard in Hong Kong after encouraging third round

Dunne carded a 66 on the second last day of the tournament.

IRELAND’S PAUL DUNNE has climbed up the leaderboard at the Hong Kong Open, after carding a four-under 66 in the third round to bring him up to a tie for 31st place.

The Greystones man hit six birdies in all throughout the round, along with just two bogeys on the sixth and 18th hole.

SSP Chawrasia holds a one-shot lead on Australia’s Wade Ormsby and Rafael Cabrera-Bello heading into the final day of the tournament.

The Indian’s third round of 69 included two birdies and one bogey which leaves him on 10-under overall.

But with just a slender lead at this point of the tournament, the 39-year-old — whose only top-10 finish in 2017 came with a victory at the Hero Indian Open in March — admits the pressure is mounting.

“I’m missing a couple of putts but still one under, I’m happy,” said Chawrasia. “Still one more round so I’m looking forward to tomorrow.

“It’s a little bit of added pressure but I can manage that a little bit. That’s why sometimes I think I’m missing a couple of putts but I will think tomorrow, ‘I can do something’.

“If I feel nervous the other players also will be nervous but I’m okay. I’m playing many times in the same conditions so I’m all right.”

Does anybody know if there’s any periscope streams for any of the games? Castlehaven did it for a recent Club Championship game. I think its a great idea. Louth vs Westmeath will probably be a good competitive game but very few will get to see it, the same with Offaly Longford last night. I think Periscope could solve this!!!
