PAUDIE CLIFFORD CRITICISED the red card he received in Fossaโs All-Ireland junior final win, during his acceptance speech after being presented with the trophy.
Six red cards were handed out in the game. Skirmishes erupted in the concluding stages at Croke Park, as the Kerry champions clinched a three-point win at Croke Park over Stewartstown Harps of Tyrone.
The Tyrone side finished with just 11 players on the pitch as Darren Devlin, Kyran Robinson, Gareth Devlin and Anton Coyle were all sent to the line. Fossa were also punished as the All-Star Clifford brothers Paudie and David, after a second yellow, were sent off as clashes continued between both sides up to the final whistle.
Paudie lifted the trophy for the victors and during his acceptance speech, he commended the officials for their overall performance, but criticised the decision to send him off.
โTo the referee and his officials, obviously a tough game to ref at the end. A good job other than at the end when I was wrongly sent off. [It's] just unbelievable how I was sent off.
โBut a great job all round.โ

The dig from the no 24 on clifford was pure filth.
How can someone who gets sent of be allowed go a collect the cup and give a speech so what message is been sent out to young you can get sent off and go up and get trophy maddness
@Moya Power-kelly: Get a life!!
@James Dore: he got sent off he shouldnโt have been up their collecting the cup he deserved the second yellow card so how he was allowed collect the cup their bit as squicky clean as everyone thinks
@Moya Power-kelly: Iโm guessing cause he was the captain,thatโs why he collected the cup.
Ta an ceart ar fad agat!
Outstanding exhibition of football by David Clifford and Devlin up full forward. The Tyrone team completely lost their heads however and paid the price for playing on the edge from time to time. Incident leading to the first sending off was beyond silly it wad blatent red card as he struck his opponent but at the end of the day was harmless. Fossa should possibly have been reduced to 14 too for a high tackle early in the second half but all in all it was a good clean game until the end when 2 off the Tyrone players got sent off as they chased the hand down, thus ending any real chance they hadโฆ. Game disintegrated completely after that with the last 3 red cards coming in the last 2 min. Excellent game but a pity about the cardsโฆ
