THE MUNSTER COUNCIL has announced a €6.25m financial package, which will include a grant towards the redevelopment of Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
€3.75m has been put aside for work on the ground, which will cost €70m in total and is scheduled to begin later this year.
A five-year budgetary framework and a €2.5m financial package to be shared equally between Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford, was also unveiled at last night’s Council meeting.
“This is a major redevelopment for the GAA in Cork and Munster and will see this stadium transformed into a state of the art facility,” said council chairman Robert Frost.
“The Government and Central Council have provided generous grants towards this facility and now the Munster Council is doing the same.”
Fair play delighted for Mcarthy would love to see him get a shot at Celtic
@James Dundon: part of me would but it would be a step back for him. Celtic needs a serious overhaul if they are to regain their greatness and its really high time Scottish teams joined the English leagues.
He’ll do okay at this level for sure
@Noel Doherty: did alrite at International level aswell.
