JOSE MOURINHO’S NEGATIVE tactics in the 0-0 draw between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield have come in for a significant amount of criticism.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football tonight, ex-Reds defender Jamie Carragher said he wasn’t surprised with how the Portuguese coach set up as that’s what he has always done in such situations.
However, they then brought up a statistic that shows the lack of success Mourinho has had against top six sides away from home over the past two years.
“First of all, I have no problem whatsoever with what Jose Mourinho did,” Carragher said.
“He has always done it and I expected it before the game. Jurgen Klopp said Liverpool could nave play like that. Well maybe his Liverpool could never play like that. My Liverpool did plenty of times and we got results on the back of it.
I think the criticism [towards Mourinho] will be saved to the end of the season if results in big away games don’t improve and it costs them.
“This is Jose Mourinho’s last 10 results away from home against top six opposition. The top four when he was Chelsea manager, and the bottom six were as Manchester United manager.
“In the last nine, he’s scored one goal. He’s always been lauded, and rightly so, as the man for the big occasion — a Mourinho masterclass, winning these games. Of late, his way is not working.
“If that doesn’t improve, they won’t win the league and that’s when the criticism will come.”

I think “All Ireland winner” should suffice as the headline as opposed to the first part…
An absolute mercenary. Has been all over the country, both club and county, as long as the “expenses” are right.

How can this be tagged “pastures new”?
