NOBODY HAS BEEN able to stop Max Holloway since his loss to Conor McGregor but he finally appears to have met his match.
The UFC featherweight, who has climbed to fifth in the 145lbs rankings, has won seven bouts in a row since being defeated by the Irishman in August 2013.
However, Holloway’s progress was emphatically halted yesterday when he took to Periscope to film a sparring session with his 3-year-old son, Rush.
The little fella looks like he’ll be well capable of following in his dad’s footsteps, displaying an impressive array of high kicks and a devastating left hook.
Max eventually let his guard down and was clocked with a rasper down the pipe which left him needing an ice pack for his nose. Cub Swanson and Cole Miller, that’s how it’s done.
Here’s hoping Max recovers in time for his eagerly-anticipated meeting with Jeremy Stephens at UFC 194 in Las Vegas on 12 December.
Knowing the FAI’s penchant for getting it horribly wrong, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they appointed Joseph Anthony Barton.
