A Munster and Ireland cult hero has a new head coach job

The former prop takes over from Ian Sherwin in the role with the AIL Division 1B side.

MARCUS HORAN HAS been appointed as the new head coach of Shannon, it was confirmed tonight.

Horan takes over from Ian Sherwin in the role with the AIL Division 1B side.

The former prop retired from rugby in 2013, having won 67 Ireland caps and made over 200 appearances for Munster.

    Nothing I’d say , Marcus has a great relationship with Shannon , if I recall correctly he went back and played a few league games with them after 07 world cup fiasco and also after his other health issue

    Not sure I’d call a grand slam and double hec winner a “cult” hero.
