LIVERPOOL FORWARD Sadio Mane insists he is unfazed about living up to his hefty price tag following his move from Southampton.
Mane made a £34million move to Anfield in June and has impressed for Jurgen Klopp’s men at the start of the season.
The Senegal international scored a brilliant goal in his side’s 4-3 win over Arsenal – their only victory from their opening three Premier League games.
Mane, 24, is expected to deliver given the size of the transfer fee involved in his switch to Anfield, but Mane says it is of no concern to him.
“It’s normal in football. People will talk about it [the fee] but I don’t feel the pressure,” Mane told the Liverpool Echo.
“I have always believed in my quality and I know what I can do for my team.
“I just try to work in training every day and give my best for the club and for the fans.
“I was very happy to score my first goal in my first game for Liverpool. Most importantly we won the game.
“I want to thank everyone for all the support I’ve had from the fans and from the club.”
Mane and Liverpool face champions Leicester City at Anfield on 10 September.
In fairness £34 million is nothing these days when the likes of Sterling and Stones are going for £50 mill and Pogba going for a £100 mill. Championship clubs are even paying £15-£20 million for decent players at that level.
He could be the buy of the season. At least he will take a player on. Liverpool are currently lacking players like that.
Sure even a stocking like Benteke is worth €30M plus..
Forgot to iron my shirt yesterday. But thats grand I wasn’t planning on wearing it anyway.

He has been Excellent in the 3 games I have seen of him so far.
