MANCHESTER UNITED HAVE made the trip south this evening to take on fourth-tier Cambridge United at the Abbey Stadium.
On paper it should be a straightforward task for Louis van Gaal’s side, but Cambridge will be keen to cause a famous upset in front of a sell-out 8,000 crowd.
A place in the fifth round of the FA Cup is up for grabs, and kick-off is at 7.55pm.

Very good start by Cambridge here. A free-kick into the visitors’ box was just headed a couple of yards wide by Tom Elliot.

Di Maria’s free-kick is well wide. He’s been struggling to hit the target so far but you get the impression that he’s the most likely man to unlock the Cambridge defence.

It was better from Manchester United in the latter stages of that first half but it was a very poor 45 minutes from the visitors.
Unsurprisingly, Manchester United fans aren’t best pleased…
Cambridge’s Josh Coulson had the best chance of the first half.
Cambridge “have got one hell of a chance” according to Alan Shearer on BBC. “Without a doubt there’s a mistake in that United back-four.”
As we prepare to start the second half, it’s looking good for Cambridge. On level terms and they’ve still got this crafty veteran in reserve.
Januzaj had a good effort saved by Dunn early in this second half. There’s definitely more urgency about the Premier League side now.

Brilliant double save by Cambridge goalkeeper Dunn from Januzaj and then Di Maria. Drama in the dying moments but the hosts are hanging in there.

I think the David he is referring to is David Morris ,who didn’t even qualify and is ranked 89 in the world .So yeah he’s clearly nowhere near as good as him .
Yeah I guessed that Patrick.David Morris was a excellent amateur player but unfortunately like so many before him,he hasn’t made the transition to the pro game.Im not saying he won’t,hes still young and as I said,hes an excellent player.But to compare him to Ken is laughable.His best days may be nearly over but Im sure he’ll give whoever he plays a tough game.Best of luck Ken and the same to Fergal who plays today.
I bet hes praying for a lucky 1st round draw, otherwise its curtains for another year! Hes not anywhere even close to David, who can actually compete in the first couple of rounds once he doesn’t draw one of the top guys. Doherty still gave 5 frames away to a nobody in his previous match.
I’d love to see an Irish player do well again but Doherty’s days are long over!

Such an Irish player doesn’t exist I’m afraid. You can’t go through twenty years of clubs closing all over the country and expect that the standard will remain the same.
Ireland’s next big star (as he has been for ten years) was beaten in the first qualifying round. Not Ken’s fault, and he deserves only huge credit for getting there.
A nicer drawer than he has received on his last few trips to The Crucible would be nice, granted!
