HULL CITY WILL face into the biggest two games of their season with the shadow of Jake Livermore’s failed drug test cast over them.
Earlier today the Daily Telegraph reported the England international failed a random drug test after Hull’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last month.
According to the FA’s policy on testing positive for ‘social drugs’ a ban of up to two years may be enforced. If a player is found to have tested positive in the immediate aftermath of a game, this length of a ban may be applied.
Hull are sitting two points adrift of safety and facing a trip to White Hart Lane to play Spurs before they welcome Manchester United to the KC Stadium on the final day of the season.
Livermore has made 35 appearances for the Tigers so far this term and this will come as an unwanted distraction. Hull City are expected to release a statement shortly.
