Treviso 14
Leinster 40
DAVE KEARNEY AND Joey Carbery marked their returns from injury with try-scoring performances as Leinster ran in six tries to record an emphatic Pro12 win over Treviso this afternoon.
In his first appearance since October, winger Kearney touched down twice during the first half at the Stadio Comunale di Monigo while Carbery made a cameo off the bench and added his own try shortly after the hour mark.
Rory O’Loughlin continued his prolific form while Adam Byrne and Bryan Byrne also crossed for the visitors, who move back within four points of leaders Munster in third.
The eastern province were clinical from the off and although Treviso enjoyed periods of possession, Leo Cullen’s men were always in control of the contest.
Ross Byrne was again excellent from the kicking tee and converted five of Leinster’s six tries, including two superb touchline efforts.
Leinster face a quick turnaround now with Edinburgh next up at the RDS on Friday night.
