Leo Cullen’s side assured themselves of a home semi-final with victory over Connacht in their last Pro12 outing and their fixture will be broadcast live on Sky Sports and TG4 with a kick-off time of 7.45pm.

The second semi-final will be hosted by either Munster or Scarlets the following day, Saturday 20 May, at 6.15pm. That game will also be broadcast by Sky Sports with other broadcasters to be announced once the home team is confirmed.

Munster are currently second in the table and could secure a home semi-final this weekend as they travel to Italy to face Treviso.

Rassie Erasmus’ side head into the penultimate weekend of the regular season nine points ahead of Scarlets in third while Ospreys currently occupy the fourth and final playoff berth.

Ticket information for Leinster’s game will be announced in due course.

The Guinness Pro12 final takes place on 27 May at the Aviva Stadium.

@Allen Durkin: You don’t get to choose the news …it just happens and it’s reported upon. Whilst I’m not really a fan of cricket, I am a sports fan. And so, I like to have an idea what’s happening in the world of sport. A brief 100 word article is perfect for me. I’ve practically no interest in F1, but knowing if the head to head happening therein is kinda interesting. And ultimately, to answer your question, I can think of about 5 people in my immediate circle who are glued to the coverage right now. Cricket does happen here.
