KILDAREโS NAAS, KERRYโS Na Gaeil and Cavanโs Denn were all celebrating victories today that propel them into the All-Ireland club series this month.
Naas struck a major blow for Kildare hurling as they landed the Leinster intermediate title, running out 3-12 to 1-11 victors over Wexfordโs Oylegate-Glenbrien at St Conlethโs Park in Newbridge.
They now advance to an All-Ireland semi-final meeting with Mayoโs Tooreen next Sunday afternoon.
Jack Sheridan (2-4), Cathal Dowling (1-2) and Brian Byrne (0-4) were the chief scorers for the Kildare club, while Podge Doran bagged Oylegate-Glenbrienโs goal.
In Munster there was glory again for the Kerry champions at intermediate football level, Na Gaeil storming past Clareโs Corofin in Mallow as they triumphed by 6-14 to 1-12.
The 2019 All-Ireland junior champions will now contest the national semi-final at intermediate level as they face Derryโs Steelstown Brian รgs. The Kerry side are an extremely strong outfit with county players Jack Barry, Diarmuid OโConnor and Stefan Okunbor all in action.

OโConnor and Jack Bourke netted in the first half for a Na Gaeil team that were in front 2-4 to 0-7 at half-time. They outscored their opponents 3-8 to 0-1 in the third quarter and ran out victors by 18 points with Jack Sheehan and Darragh Carmody both bagging two goals apiece in the second half.
Damien OโLoughlin scored Corofinโs only goal while Clare senior Jamie Malone (0-4) and Gearoid Cahill (0-5) chipped in with points for them.
And in Ulster, Cavan side Denn won the twinning football final against St Brendanโs of Manchester by 3-16 to 2-6 this afternoon. Next up for them is an All-Ireland semi-final clash with Kerryโs Gneeveguilla, who won the Munster title yesterday.
More to followโฆ.
Heโs rather good isnโt he? Probably one of the first Irish names onto the Lions squad for the summer along with Furlong.
Always has a point to prove against his home province. Big game for him.
@thesaltyurchin: That must be why Robbie Henshaw and Caelan Doris play so well against Connacht.
@Finbarr Ryan: Weโre talking about โFinalsโ pal
@Finbarr Ryan: Also Henshaw is from Athlone, which is in Leinster no?
Creating a bit of false โus v the worldโ stuff. Thereโs hardly a pundit out there writing Munster off. Listened to podcasts on OTB, RTE and the42 this week. If anything, it is 50/50.
@Ricky Wright: indeed. Leinster have never ever won Munster more than 5 times consecutively, weโre at 5 times now, thereโs probably a good reason for that. Things change and records are broken however sooner or later Leinster will once again lose to Munster and that could be Saturday. I hope for a Leinster win, but it really is a 50/50 in my eyes too.
@SPQH: Yep. I donโt even believe Europe is a distraction. I have a feeling Munster will win, and win more comfortably than any one expects. 10 points. Iโll be a bit sick if it happens but at least the season wonโt be over, for whoever loses.
@SPQH: weโd be going for 11 in a row only for the red card.
@Chris Mc: Well I hope we donโt get a red card tomorrow! Come on Leinster!
He is Irelands Jamie Vardy
@Cranesofdublin: whoโs that?
@Rudiger McMonihan: heโs a mate of your dad Antonio obvs
I think the pundits for the first time in a long while have Munster favourites, more probably in a desire to see another Province win for a change.
The battle of the backrows will be fascinating.Johnny v Joey ,the scrums,so much to look forward to ,you canโt over hype this game enough
@rugbyanbeer: funny itโs more likely Ross v joey
@rugbyanbeer: Munster are not favourites.
