COMETH THE HOUR, cometh the MVP.
When his team needed him, Kevin Durant delivered an epic Game 6 performance to drag the Oklahoma City Thunder over the line and into the Western Conference finals.
The league’s best player finished with 39 points and 16 rebounds last night as OKC came from 16 points down to clinch a 104-98 win over the LA Clippers and seal a 4-2 series win.
“We’ve got a long way to go,” Durant said afterwards. “We definitely can get better.
“This is definitely a series that pushed us to the brink. We were in a tough spot. We stayed together and persevered.”
In Thursday night’s other game, the Indiana Pacers finished off the Washington Wizards to set up a mouth-watering Eastern Conference showdown against reigning champions the Miami Heat.
Anyone who watched the sides’ brilliant seven-game series last season will be licking their lips in anticipation of the rematch.
The only problem is that we’ll have to wait a couple of days. Game 1 is in Indianapolis on Sunday (8.30pm Irish time).

The evening echo were reporting that he was going to be announced as manager on Tuesday! He’s the only man for the job, should be moving mountains to get him.
Yeah I read this ages ago on the 42. We’re not goldfish.
