Tommy Walsh goes off injured but Barry John Keane hits 0-8 as Kerins O'Rahillys advance in Kerry

O’Rahillys will take on Paul Geaney’s Dingle in the second round of the Kerry SFC.

UNDERDOGS KERINS O’RAHILLYS came back from behind to defeat South Kerry in the Kerry SFC first round in Tralee today.

Brendan O’Sullivan and Kerry U21 Matthew O’Sullivan hit the net in the opening half to leave South Kerry 2-8 to 0-10 in front at the interval.

County star James O’Donoghue missed an early penalty for Legion, while promising forward Sean O’Shea landed a last-minute bring the game to force extra-time.

2016 semi-finalists Rathmore saw off East Kerry on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-10.

@Paddy: limerick favourites? You mad? A munster final and all ireland semi (even though I think there’s more in this side) I’d be happy with for this year

I was at the game. Limerick were very poor for long periods in the game. The team still appear to be preoccupied with possession hurling from the back( think man city). Offaly got great success from pressing hard in limerick halfback line and midfield area. Limerick weren’t clever enough to recognise this and see the space behind that press and were regularly turned over. The turning points were a missed penalty, soft sending off and 5 pointable frees by iffy.
