JOE SHERIDAN IS set to make his inter-county comeback tomorrow night for Meath but it will be in a new role as goalkeeper.
The former forward has been named between the posts by manager Andy McEntee for the OโByrne Cup tie against Laois in Stradbally.
Sheridan last lined out for Meath in their 2013 All-Ireland qualifier loss to Tyrone.
The former forward was recalled to the Meath panel before Christmas with a view to being tried out between the posts.
Meath will be hoping to build on their victory over Wicklow last Sunday and Wednesdayโs success against Dublin IT.
The winner of tomorrow nightโs clash will progress to the semi-final stage on Sunday 22 January.

Louth people will be delighted, he wonโt score a try from there !!!!!!
Hoping he has a good outing. Canโt see him being our number 1 for league or championship but would love to be proved wrong
Iโd say heโd be fairly sharp with a quick kickout and picking out players with a kick out Iโd say it could be a good call, Also would be fairly good under a high ball has all the makings
Heโll be good at clearing his lines, on the line, over the line and in the right direction.
It will all end in tearsโฆ
A big kick in the hole for all the lads keeping goals in Meath that a forward is in goal for the county team.
