The 2012 All-Ireland winning boss was greatly admired by Neil Lennon, Celtic supremo at the time, but the arrival of Norwegian native Deila doesnโt look like it will see a diminishing of McGuinnessโs role.
The Herald Scotland reports that Deila wants McGuinness to continue in his position and his future involvement may see him work with the clubโs first-team players.
โI want to bring Jim in even more,โ Deila explained. โAll my staffโs knowledge is going to be used, I canโt do it all.
โOf course, I learn a lot because I hire fantastic people around me, but I want all my staff to be a specialist in something and then you need to be even better.

โIโm very curious. I get energy from learning and I think. Iโm going to try to be a very good role model.โ
McGuinness is currently gearing up for the Ulster senior football final on July 20th after guiding Donegal to their fourth successive provincial decider. After title wins in 2011 and 2012, he will hope that his players can avenge last yearโs loss to Monaghan when they renew acquaintances with Malachy OโRourkeโs side.
