JEAN DEYSEL WAS sent off as the Sharks won away for the first time ever against Canterbury Crusaders today.
The Super Rugby clash saw the visitors claim a 30-25 victory that was undoubtedly tainted by their player’s behaviour.

Check out the video below, which clearly shows Deysel’s seemingly deliberate act.
Thankfully, the recipient of the stamp — Jordan Tafu — was not seriously hurt as a result of the injury.
That deserves a season ban at least
This sort of behaviour needs to be stamped out immediately.
Dirt bag
What was that dope doing holding on to his leg like that way after the ball had gone? Unfortunate incident but let’s not get over dramatic
Antagonizing, looking to provoke a reaction. Not condoning the outcome but the off the ball holding of players is infuriating.
Saw that this morning shockin stuff. Another red card in the Reds vs rebels game in the last two minutes for eye gouging cost the reds the game this afternoon too.
Actually it was Ed O’Donaghue sent off for the reds
That was after 15 mins and they still won with 14 men?
And they went down to 13 cause they got a yellow in the second half!
Kiwi teams are masters of the dark arts. Whether its taking out players beyond the ruck, slowing down the ball by not releasing the tackler or taking their time to roll away or like the clip above, holding onto players from older rucks, preventing them from taking their place in the defensive line.
Stamp is wrong but the frustration is understandable when the officials refuse to police it.
Rugby needs to bring back rucking
Could you imagine the outcry if the same thing happened in a premiership match – the guy should never play again
Never play again my balls! Slightly alarmist there, he was holding on to his leg I’m sure it was just a rush of blood, there wasn’t the same nastiness or intent that goes into to gouging
Agreed – anyone that plays the game knows theirs not much in that only frustration! Well dealt with by the ref!
78th minute he got sent off ! Rebels won 30-27 first time they won at suncorp
First time they actually beat the reds
