THE LA LAKERS honoured former center Shaquille O’Neal by retiring his jersey No. 34 last night.
On the court, Kobe Bryant’s 19th career triple-double lifted the Lakers to a 101-81 triumph over the Dallas Mavericks in a duel between teams fighting for a Western Conference playoff spot.

Then, during an extended halftime ceremony, Shaq was greeted by actor and huge Lakers fan Jack Nicholson.
“It’s a dream come true. It’s a blessing,” O’Neal said. “I didn’t do it by myself. I had a lot of help — great teammates, great organization, the Buss family, great leadership from Phil Jackson.”

Just want to raise one point here. If the gender roles were reversed and a man was blackmailing a woman by threading to sell intimate photos of her, surely the case would be viewed as more serious and the culprit would be judged more harshly? Obviously I don’t have all the facts of the case but a suspended sentence for a woman who has rpeviapu for this raises a few eyebrows
