NEWPORT GWENT DRAGONS will be without the front-row services of Francisco Chapparo until late April after his 10-week ban for a gruesome tip-tackle on Isaac Boss.
The Argentine received a straight red card for his dangerous dumping of the Leinster scrum-half to the turf last Friday. Boss was concussed, as a result, but is back training with Ireland ahead of their Six Nations game.
An independent disciplinary committee stated, โThe offence committed was at the top end of the IRBโs scale of seriousness. In reaching its decision, the committee took into account aggravating factors, including the need for a deterrent for the type of tackle, together with mitigating factors such as the playerโs previous good record and conduct at the hearing.โ
Tip tackle/spear, call it what you will thereโs no place for them in rugby. The game is hazardous enough without them

โโฆโฆDo you think the medical rules on concussion have been slightly side stepped here?
It has been reported that heโs passing all return to play protocols with flying colours. So, maybe but maybe not.
Back to playing WWF on the playstation for him
Funny many on this site didnโt even think it was a penalty
Who said it wasnโt a penalty?
Deadly dangerous they are
