THE WORLD’S TOP golfer has put his County Down mansion up for sale, for a cool £2million.
Rory McIlroy’s Moneyreagh estate was only built in 2006 but he has decided that any time he spends in Northern Ireland will be with his folks in Holywood.
The two-time Major winner resides in Florida for most of the year and says that it is no longer practical for him to keep such a lavish home.
Auctioneers Rodgers and Browne quote him as saying: “I have really enjoyed living here. It is a really special place which has allowed me to relax and unwind – when I get time!
“With the privacy and seclusion of the location it is hard to believe the house is only 25 minutes from Belfast centre and City airport. The space the house offers is bright and airy and there are views over the gardens and the pond from most rooms. The house has always been busy with friends and family and has suited us on all occasions.”

He’s probably moving to the UK. After all he is English.
Lovely pad. He only turned pro in 2007 and this was built in 2006. He must have had great vision. Fair play to him.
He only bought the house in 2009.
Thanks Karl. I was curious
Nice!
