GERVINHO SCORED THE only goal of the game as Roma moved into the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia with a 1-0 win over Juventus.
The capital club, who had been beaten 3-0 by Serie A leaders Juve earlier this month, dictated play for much of a scrappy encounter and were rewarded with a victory that keeps alive their hopes of avenging a defeat to Lazio in last year’s final.
It was former Arsenal forward Gervinho who emerged as the hero as he struck 11 minutes from time with a superb backheel volley to condemn Juve to a first domestic loss since a 4-2 defeat to Fiorentina on October 20.

As a Liverpool fan I’m a bit miffed. It’s ok midweek but not weekends? It’s been a long time since I’ve heard of trouble at a Merseyside derby. I get Rangers Celtic or United Liverpool as early kick offs because it doesn’t take Stevie Wonder to know in those fixtures there is real bite. Now mind you even those fixtures it’s a small element that fuks it up for the rest. It’s coming across to me that the police are just using it as an excuse. Maybe I am wrong but it’s one of a few derbys that both fans can be seen seated side by side. I was looking forward to seeing that game at that time.
Correct and right, every season one of the Derby games is an 8pm kick off midweek.

A sad indictment of all football fans as almost all of the Derbys are played early on weekends. Remember the Celtic v Rangers matches used to be on around 11.30!

I was at the derby last year at anfield… As an Everton supporter… A horrible expirence.. Game was a Tuesday night at 8…. Not one ounce of trouble was seen
