Donegal will wear a special one-off jersey next Sunday to promote farm safety

The Ulster preliminary round tie takes place between Donegal and Tyrone in Ballybofey.

DONEGAL ARE GEARING up for their 2015 championship opener next Sunday and theyโ€™re going to be sporting a new jersey for the game.

As part of a campaign to raise the awareness of farm safety, Donegal will wear a specially commissioned jersey for the clash against Tyrone in Ballybofey.

The logo of their jersey sponsors, โ€˜Donegal Creameriesโ€™, a a consumer food brand within Aurivo Co-op, will be replaced for one game only with the โ€˜Stay Safe on The Farmโ€™ logo.

Last year 30 people lost their lives on Irish farms and Donegal has the second highest rate of farm fatalities in the country.

Hereโ€™s Donegal footballers Eamon McGee, Michael Murphy and Patrick McBrearty sporting the new jersey.

Heโ€™s better off playing every week in a relegation battle at Yeovil, where results actually mean something, as opposed to sitting on the bench at Everton IMO.
