DARACH HONAN IS the latest member of the 2013 All-Ireland winning Clare side to call time on his inter-county career.
Honan, whoโs still just 27, has been badly hampered by injury in recent times and Clare FM reported last night thatโs heโs announced his retirement.
The rangy forward replaced hat-trick hero Shane OโDonnell in the 66th minute of the All-Ireland final replay against Cork four years ago, and put the icing on the cake with the Bannerโs fifth goal in stoppage-time.
He made his debut for Clare seniors in 2010, scoring 5-21 in 13 championship appearances for the Banner.
The Clonlara clubman joins fellow Liam MacCarthy medalists Patrick Donnellan, Colin Ryan and Brendan Bugler in retiring from the inter-county scene since they lifted the All-Ireland title.

Pity he was never able or fully fit enough to do himself justice. Some shoot out between himself and joe canning in 2009 u 21 semi.
Like a lot of players his height he was hampered with injuries & consequently he never fulfilled the potential that he showed when Clare won the u21 All Ireland in 2009, when people thought he was the next Setenta OโHailpin. Was some prospect, hopefully he can stay fit for his club.
