ONE OF THE finest League of Ireland goals was scored tonight as St. Patrick’s Athletic’s Conan Byrne conjured a moment of audacious skill to find the net from inside his own half.
Pat’s were taking on Bohemians in a Dublin derby at Dalymount and were already leading 1-0 thanks to Christy Fagan’s opener.
Then, right on the stroke of half-time, Byrne spotted Bohs’ goalkeeper Shane Supple off his line, pounced on a loose ball and delivered an inch-perfect lob that flew straight to the net.
You asked for it, so here's Conan Byrne's absolute cracker for St Pat's. Watch full highlights on Soccer Republic on Monday #soccrepublic pic.twitter.com/A20QyRjVVz

Byrne would grab another before the end while Kurtis Byrne added a fourth as Pat’s racked up a resounding derby victory.
But the game will be remembered for one of the best goals we’ve ever seen in Irish domestic football.
