CLAUDIO RANIERI FINALLY allowed himself a moment to breathe it all in and shed a few tears as he made his way to the tunnel following Leicester City’s 2-0 victory at Sunderland.
The result moved the Foxes ten points clear temporarily at the top of the table with nearest challengers Tottenham kicking off later in the day.
In a 30-year managerial career, Ranieri has never won a top-flight title and as the season comes to a climax, everything is getting just a little bit real.
And something like this only makes the entire story more heartwarming, doesn’t it?

Good man Claudio. Every football fan wants ye to go on and do it. Well deserved and great enjoyment.
Except deluded Arsenal fans who still think they’ll win the league of course.
I speak on behalf of all arsenal fans, Leicester have a better chance of stopping Spuds than us.
Amen to that Frank. Even the most biased fans of other clubs wouldn’t begrudge them. They have been fantastic all season.
Is this the greatest sporting upset ever? I can’t imagine any task as difficult as overcoming the huge clubs in England who have spent 1000′s of times more than Leicester but simply could not match them over the course of htis season.
Lovely chap! Was brilliant when he said his ‘Mamma’ gave out to him for not playing Duffer at Chelsea!
This is the ultimate up yours to Jose. And Claudio has been a huge part of their brilliance this season. The way he has managed expectations has been class
I think everyone is rooting for them. The pass for Vardys first goal was amazing. And then to seal it at the death. Fair play to Leicester. They certainly have their eyes on the prize
Nottingham forest back to back European cups for me.
3 more wins and its theirs, we all would love it, but either way there is gonna be a 1st time winner this season.
Spurs won the league in 1961, but then that was before Sky Sports so I suppose it doesn’t count.
They previously won it in 1951.
Its a joy to see them win in whats a average league devoid of world class players.
They have been a breath of fresh air in fairness.its amazing what there on the brink of achieving.more luck to them
