CLARE HURLERS TOOK time out of their busy training schedule to become the first county to try their hand at the charity crossbar challenge.
And they didn’t do badly at all.
Every time they hit the bar, €50 was raised for their chosen charities - the Irish Heart Foundation and Cahercalla Hospice.
By our count, the sliotar pinged off the woodwork four times before Maor Camán Tommy Hegarty showed them all how it was done with an unerringly accurate strike.
The less said about Davy Fitz’s effort the better though.
The funniest thing about Davy’s effort is how muted the laughter was from the players.

Pat O’Connor seemed seriously injured after the way he threw himself to the ground to get Seanie Tobin sent off in the Limerick match. It appears from that video he has recovered.
I thought it was five or six actually.

Pity the hurlers didn’t do it themselves, looks like a bit of propaganda by Davy fitz.
can you not look at it as something positive and nothing to do with propaganda or agendas fantastic to see and hope other county and club teams expand this
