FORMER ST. PATRICKโS Athletic midfielder Chris Forrester has the potential to be the the next Michael Carrick according to his new boss Graham Westley.
The Peterborough manager has been very impressed with the 22-year old, who has two goals in his first 13 games with the club, and told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire he thinks Forrester can be even better than the Manchester United player.
โThereโs so much Michael Carrick in him itโs scary.
โYou look at the likes of Carrick, an intelligent player, reads the game brilliantly well, owns, keeps and passes the ball in the right way โ heโs got so many of the characteristics.
โCould you see him being even better? He probably gets more goals than Carrick โ heโs a great player in the making.โ
Forrester joined the League One side from St Patrickโs Athletic in August and has played all eight matches since Westley replaced Dave Robertson as manager.
France and Ireland left for England. Either Jones or Farrell will be under huge pressure after the last round anyway.
