JAMIE CARRAGHER AND Thierry Henry revealed their Premier League team of the season so far on Monday Night Football this evening.
Hector Bellerin, Toby Alderweireld, Nacho Monreal, N’Golo Kanté, Riyad Mahrez, Mesut Ozil and Jamie Vardy made both pundits’ teams.
In addition, Henry opted for Jack Butland, Laurent Koscielny, Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez.
By contrast, Carragher went for David de Gea, Chris Smalling, Ross Barkley and Dimitri Payet.
The viewers were consequently left to vote on the remaining spots on the team, and the results can be seen below…
Henry picked 6 out of 11 Arsenal players, there’s being slightly biased then you have clowns like him!
Lukaku would have to be in there. Maybe for Alexis?
Lukaku doesn’t play left mid/wing. And vardy has Been better than Lukaku no room for him I’m afraid
It’s called 4-4-2 supes and I think lukaku has contributed more than Sánchez this season but that’s mainly down to injury
Strong case for deli alli. He’s been quality
In about 4 games
Hugo lloris not in goal ..joke !
What about ighalo
Or deeney – I’ve been a Watford fan since 1982 – best days in quite some time
Deeney is brilliant on Fifa 15. Love being Watford!!! Two letters away from my home town
Lukaku for Sanchez
How on earth is Sanchez in this team he has been in and out of the team because of injures hasn’t stepped up from last season’s preformances
Lads how is smalling in ahead of koscielny
Because he’s consistently better. Smalling is a great defender but kos is one of the best in Europe easily.. Always there
Scratch that I’m after doing a Homer moment. Nothing to see here
Butland, bellerin, koscielny, smalling, fuchs, mahrez, kante, ozil, ighalo, lukaku, vardy……….ridiculously attacking i know but those 3 strikers deserve recognition
2 Arsenal defenders make it ahead of the one that should have been in it. His been the best defender in the league let alone arsenal team
Monreal has came on leaps and bounds and bellerin is the definition of modern attacking full backs, he’s quality the rest are close to correct as possible I think, one or two that could be argued but sure what can ya do.
Drinkwater on the bench
Only if the ref is dead against it on the pitch
Ya nice one, but he has been very good.
I reckon butland will b future united goalkeeper if de gea ends up leaving for real hes a real big presence in goal top class
Payet?
De Bruyne??? Pair of clowns them two. Neville is missed badly in fairness to him.
How is Lukaku not in the team, should be two up front and drop Barkley as Lukaku was far more consistent this year. English basis!
