CELTIC HAVE COMPLETED the signing of unattached striker Carlton Cole on a two-year deal.
The 32-year-old left West Ham in May and had been training with the Scottish champions in recent weeks in a bid to earn a deal.
The former England international has now agreed terms until the end of the 2016-17 season, having reportedly rejected interest from MLS clubs.
The forward will be presented to the media on Thursday and he could make his debut for the in front of the Bhoys faithful at home to Dundee United on Sunday.
Cole, who boasts seven England caps but has never started for the Three Lions, has scored 85 goals in more than 380 senior club appearances in spells at Chelsea, Wolves, Charlton, Aston Villa and the Hammers.
Celtic must have good Medical Facilities.
Celtic must have the numbers to rival an NFL roster by now.
This really proves how brutal Scotish club football is these days. Serious scraping of the barrel signing Carlton Cole. Not that long ago Celtic & Rangers were signing top class players. I’d say Celtic secretly can’t wait for Rangers to get promoted to liven things up a bit.
Absolutely brutal standard u there. easy titles.
red thumb away lads! the stats dont lie. just because they have a big support and decent crowds, it doesnt mean they are any use! wouldnt survive in the epl currently. carlton cole? in all fairness?! and what other class players do they have or indeed any other spl team currently?
Poor Carlton, he’s no Gary Breen but give him a break…
