THE GAA TODAY confirmed a change of date for the Leinster senior championship double-header between Wexford and Dublin in hurling and Wexford and Kildare in football to accommodate a Bruce Springsteen gig.
The games, initially scheduled to take place on Sunday 29 May — two days after the Boss’ first gig in HQ — will now throw-in on Saturday 21 May at Croke Park.
In a statement on their website, the GAA said:
The Leinster Council and all three counties involved in the May 29 fixtures were aware in advance of the concert and are happy to accommodate the switch to a new date.”
