Limerick hurlers appoint ex-dual star Brian Geary as selector

The Monaleen clubman joins John Kiely’s management team.

FORMER LIMERICK DUAL star Brian Geary has been named as a selector for the county’s senior hurling team.

Geary, who spent 13 years on Limerick’s senior hurling panel and retired from the inter-county game in 2012, has been added to John Kiely’s backroom staff along with Paul Kinnerk, Joe O’Connor and Jimmy Quilty following a county board meeting this week, reports the Limerick Post.

He’s still lining out for his club Monaleen and won the county’s Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship last weekend.

This sounds familiar. TJ Ryan was co-commentator on Live95 for hurling games before getting involved with the senior management eventually becoming manager. Geary has been co-commentator on Live95 recently. Geary for manager in a few years ?
