BOD replaced one Munster sporting legend with another on the Good Wall tonight

The former Leinster player also spoke candidly about finishing his career in rugby.

BRIAN Oโ€™DRISCOLL REPLACED Ronan Oโ€™Gara with Colm Cooper on the Good Wall on the last episode of the series of Second Captains Live tonight.

Oโ€™Driscoll paid tribute to Cooperโ€™s โ€œphenomenalโ€ ability, highlighting his โ€œcunning and guileโ€.

In addition, he took himself off the number one spot and put golfer Padraig Harrington at the top of the list.

The former Leinster player also spoke candidly about finishing his career in rugby, as well as giving some insights into his new life as a pundit.

โ€œEverything you do is a poor second to playingโ€ฆ I would have loved to have kept playing, but my body couldnโ€™t do it anymore,โ€ Oโ€™Driscoll explained.

He admitted to being โ€œenviousโ€ of his former teammates when they won the Six Nations earlier this year and explained the challenges he faces in his new role as a rugby analyst, stating that it took him time to understand โ€œwhat my voice was,โ€ and adding:

โ€œItโ€™s difficult when youโ€™re friends with these guys and you donโ€™t want to get texts from them the next day.

โ€œIโ€™m still a huge Leinster fan, but you have to have credibility [as a pundit].โ€

He had some kind words to say about Ronan Oโ€™Gara and Shane Horgan, arguing that they have โ€œtaken rugby analysis to a new levelโ€ and praising their โ€œunderstanding of the modern gameโ€.

And as for pundits in other sports?

โ€œCarragher and Neville are enthralling,โ€ he said, adding that he sometimes prefers to watch their analysis instead of the actual football game itself.
