Heartbreak for Ireland's Béibhinn Parsons as she confirms second leg break in four months

The 23-year-old is almost certain to miss next year’s Six Nations but should return for the World Cup.

IRELAND’S BÉIBHINN PARSONS has said she is heartbroken after confirming she has suffered a second broken leg this year.

While the 23-year-old is almost certain to miss the Women’s Six Nations, which begins in late March, the start of the World Cup in August could be a realistic target.

Parsons’ first leg break was in the Olympic quarter-final defeat to Australia earlier this summer. She returned for the Dubai leg of the SVNS series and travelled to Cape Town last weekend for the next set of fixtures.

Parsons was forced off against France with the latest setback and the winger took to social media to confirm the news.

“Breaking my leg for the second time so soon after returning has been heartbreaking,” Parsons said in a post on Instagram.

“Knowing exactly what’s ahead of me is both a blessing and a curse but one thing I’ve learned from before is that surrounding yourself with good people is the best way through so that’s what I’ll do.”

Bolt is like the only guy out of the top 20 fastest times ever to never get caught doping. He’s not a unique snowflake. He’s doped to the gills just as much as Gatlin or anyone else. It’d be naive to think otherwise. Athletics is as corrupt as Cycling.

Lance Armstrong was “one of the most tested athletes ever”. He never ” officially” tested positive. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t using PEDs.

The horrible question around Bolt is his junior record. If he is doping now, when did he start? Very sinister

I subscribe to Tommy Tiernans vision….let them take whatever drugs they want. Who doesn’t want to see a man run 100 metres in 4 seconds??

Ah who cares – the lines are so blurred these days it’s hard to know the difference between just about clean & doping. I’m presuming the ” clean ” athletes are the ones on right side of legal – just. The man is box office – let’s hope and pray for this legend ..
