GIANFRANCO ZOLA HAS been appointed first team manager at Watford.

The 45-year-old former West Ham boss has signed a two-year deal and technical director Gianluca Nani believes Zola’s arrival will bring an attractive style of football to the Vicarage.

“Everyone knows how Gianfranco Zola likes football to be played,” Nani said on Watford’s website.

I think Watford’s fans can expect an exciting and attacking style from his team. Gianfranco represents this project perfectly.”
