Zlatan takes to social media to show he's far from finished despite Man Utd release

The Swede is without a club as he works his way back from injury.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC MAY have been released by Manchester United, but the Swede is eager to point out that he is far from finished.

The 35-year-old striker saw his exit from Old Trafford confirmed by the release of the Red Devils’ retained list yesterday.

A 12-month contract has not been extended, despite Ibrahimovic contributing 28 goals to the cause — including winning efforts in the Community Shield and EFL Cup final.

He is now without a club and working his way back from knee ligament damage which brought his 2016-17 campaign to a premature conclusion, but the enigmatic forward’s career is far from finished — as he showed with this cryptic, yet clear, video message on Instagram.

Ibrahimovic has been linked with several clubs since speculation regarding his future first surfaced. He will need to prove his fitness before landing another deal, but he has undergone successful surgery and seen his physical health talked up by those who worked on him.

Despite enjoying a glittering career to date, the experienced frontman will feel that he still has a point to prove. United may yet live to regret their decision to let him go, despite Mourinho now turning his attention to possible replacements, such as Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Torino hot-shot Andrea Belotti.
