DYLAN HARTLEY LAST night picked up a four-week ban that means he will miss the first game of England’s World Cup campaign, while France international Yoann Huget may now find himself in similarly dangerous territory.
While there has been no announcement of a citing against the Toulouse wing by French rugby authorities, the below incident does not look good.
While Huget would likely argue that his actions were not deliberate, Bordeaux lock Jandré Marais, the receiving party underneath Huget’s boot, would possibly suggest otherwise.
At this stage, it appears Huget is in the clear and will be free to face Oyonnax in the Top 14 play-offs this weekend.
Obviously he isn’t going to write off the Arsenal game publicly but privately he’ll be gearing his players up for a cup final effort against Palace tomorrow. Would be lovely to get it done tomorrow and enjoy a first stress free weekend in months.
