Barcelona star Xavi reveals his incredible memory powers

The veteran Spain midfielder needs only the slightest hints to remember every detail about goals from long ago in his career.

DO YOU REMEMBER every detail about the goals that your club scored last weekend? From the first game of the season? How about five years ago? Ten?

If you can barely even remember what you had for breakfast yesterday then prepare to feel very humble indeed as Xavi, already boasting arguably the best passing ability that football has ever seen, reveals that he also has an incredible memory of the goals that he has scored over the years.

The metronomical Barcelona midfielder was sat down by his club for a test of his recollections, taking the simplest flashes of build-up to strikes from throughout his career and filling in all the details of what happened next and in the rest of the match.

Is there anything that can get past this Catalan genius? Watch the video to see if he can be beaten…

Mental ability is what separates great from very good in sport. There are many “athletes” out there in any sport but the ones who separate themselves are the ones with the mental ability others don’t have.Whether it’s intelligence, awareness or work ethic, it’s that last 5% that leads to greatness. Xavi, Brady, Schumacher, Ali, or Redgrave they all have that 5% upstairs.

Just look at the NFL, lots of physical “freaks” natural or not, but how many really make it and why. Xavi is one of the best footballers I’ve ever seen. Barca scores 9 goals when I saw them, 3 disallowed but I swear he assisted all of them. A legend.

I remember stuff from before I could walk but If you told me your phone number I’d forget the start of it before you got to the end.
